Crafting

The final decided concept is worked upon, this time working extensively on the materials used/ available, on the mechanical limitations, the physical aspects, and the visual appeal of the product too.

Final product is displayed via sketches, a small-mockup model, or by 3-D rendering using CAD or maybe even by making a fully functional working prototype. One thing to keep in mind in the economic aspect is that creating a working prototype would cost at least 10x the price as compared to that in mass production or maybe even more.

Via extensive feedback from all strata of users, and improvement mechanisms, the designer arrives at the final product after including all the feasible changes to produce an optimum combination of all the factors in form of the final product that will be sent for mass production.

So, we did the 3-D modeling of individual parts of our concept, as well of our final product

Individual Parts :

1) CAP structure :

3D software model :

Rendered model :

2) Face shield (polycarbonate sheet) :

3D software model :

Rendered image :

3) Portable fan :

3D software model  :

Rendered Image :

4) Head Support :

3D software model :

Rendered model :

FINAL PRODUCT :

- Top view

- Side view

- Front view

And finally, the product along with its user will look like this (the additional void created between head and fan is due to use of head support will also allow better air-flow from fan to the face) :
